I am writing on behalf of Vaculug Ltd, a UK-based tyre retreading manufacturer. Vaculug is currently working to better understand the use of retreaded and single life tyres within the UK public sector.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information relating to Heavy Goods Vehicles (7.5 tonnes and above) operated by, or on behalf of, your local authority.

This includes (but is not limited to) lorries, buses, refuse collection vehicles, etc.

Please see the below in answer to your request, all tyres purchased are classed as single life. Re-cuts only occur on factory fitted premium tyres and we don't use retreads:
